Description : The U.S. Navy NWU Type III Parka is a durable, weather-resistant outer garment designed for use in operational environments. Constructed from a lightweight, yet rugged, ripstop nylon material in the NWU Type III digital woodland camouflage pattern, the parka provides protection against wind and water while remaining breathable for comfort during extended wear. It features a full-length front zipper with a storm flap, hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs, and a high collar with a concealed hood for added weather protection. The parka includes loop fields on the chest and sleeves for name tapes, rank insignia, and qualification badges, as well as shoulder epaulets and multiple pockets for utility and storage. Designed to be worn with a removable fleece liner for added insulation, the NWU III Parka is a versatile component of the Navy Working Uniform, suitable for both shore-based and expeditionary environments.
